G Medical’s Extended AECG monitor ensures maximum comfort while recording multiple channels of ECG for a more comprehensive diagnosis.

Congratulations! Your physician has prescribed the Extended AECG monitor. To begin your evaluation, the comfortable patch electrode is applied to your chest to record your heart rhythms.  You may resume your normal activity during treatment, as you may exercise, shower and even bath while you are wearing the patch.

Carefully following the instructions below is critical to ensure a successful evaluation.

  1. Wear the patch adhesive continuously until your prescribed service is complete. This may be from 3 to 14 days.
  2. If you experience a symptom, tap twice in the middle of the monitor to mark an event. A blue light will glow briefly on the power button to acknowledge the event was recorded. Then briefly describe the type of symptom you experienced in the diary provided.
  3. At the completion of your prescribed wear time, simply remove the adhesive patch and return all of the provided equipment and supplies to your physician. The data will be analyzed by G Medical and a report will be sent to your physician to assist in the diagnosis.
