G Medical’s mobile cardiac telemetry monitor provides comfortable and comprehensive monitoring to help you get diagnosed faster.
Great news! Your physician has prescribed the Clarus 40M mobile cardiac telemetry monitor. Via electrodes worn on your chest, the heart monitor automatically captures and transmits irregular heartbeats, whether or not you are feeling any symptoms.
If an arrhythmia, or irregular heartbeat, is detected, the monitor will automatically send that information to G Medical for review and to your physician, if necessary. Clarus 40M consists of just one component — there is no need for any additional equipment.
Carefully following the instructions below is critical to ensure your doctor receives as much information as possible for a successful evaluation.
- Wear the Clarus 40M continuously until your prescribed evaluation is complete, which may be for up to 30 days.
- When a symptom is felt, simply press the power button and tap the plus icon on the screen to mark the event. Follow the on-screen prompts to then enter your symptoms. Remember to thoroughly complete the symptom and activity screens on the monitor, doing so will help your physician to make a more accurate diagnosis.
- After your prescribed wear time, simply detach the Clarus 40M from the electrodes, remove the electrodes, and return all of the equipment and supplies to G Medical in the self-addressed and pre-paid envelop provided to you. The data will be analyzed by G Medical and a report will be sent to your physician to assist in the diagnosis.
- Replace electrodes every 4-5 days or if the monitor vibrates.
If you have any questions regarding your evaluation, please call G Medical at 1-800-595-2898 or visit our Clarus 40M monitor FAQs page for answers to common questions regarding the use and application of the monitor.
