G Medical’s mobile cardiac telemetry monitor provides comfortable and comprehensive monitoring to help you get diagnosed faster.
Great news! Your physician has prescribed the Spider mobile cardiac telemetry monitor. Via electrodes worn on your chest, the heart monitor automatically captures and transmits irregular heartbeats, whether or not you are feeling any symptoms.
If an arrhythmia, or irregular heartbeat, is detected, the monitor will automatically send that information to G Medical for review and to your physician, if necessary. G Medical Spider consists of just one component — there is no need for any additional equipment.
Carefully following the instructions below is critical to ensure your doctor receives as much information as possible for a successful evaluation.
- Wear the G Medical Spider continuously until your prescribed evaluation is complete, which may be for up to 30 days.
- When a symptom is felt, simply press and hold the red button for 3 seconds to mark the event. Doing so will help your physician to make a more accurate diagnosis.
- After your prescribed wear time, simply detach the G Medical Spider from your body, and return all of the equipment and supplies in the self-addressed and pre-paid envelope provided to you. The data will be analyzed by G Medical and a report will be sent to your physician to assist in the diagnosis.
- It is recommended to replace electrodes every 2-3 days.
- The battery can last for up to 3 days. Please make sure to charge the device periodically.
